Yellowknife RCMP is currently looking into a French daycare in Yellowknife following the suspension of three employees due to allegations of misconduct. Garderie Plein Soleil, in a recent communication to parents, stated that the three staff members were placed on administrative leave with pay on December 18. The daycare is currently conducting its internal investigation into the matter.
Initially, the RCMP informed Radio-Canada on Friday that they were not conducting an investigation into the situation. However, on Monday, the RCMP confirmed that an active investigation is now underway. The RCMP’s Specialized Response Unit is handling the investigation, emphasizing that no charges have been filed and no additional details are available at this time.
Eva Bellevance, the vice-president of Garderie Plein Soleil’s board of directors, mentioned in an interview with Radio-Canada on Friday that she could not disclose specific information regarding the incidents due to privacy concerns.
