A man, aged 65 from St. Thomas, has been apprehended by St. Thomas police for allegedly assaulting a teenage driver in a road rage incident. The arrest took place on Wednesday following the issuance of an arrest warrant for charges including assault, assault causing bodily harm, careless driving, and making threats.
According to authorities, the accused reportedly tailed a vehicle to a parking lot in the southern part of the city on Tuesday afternoon. Upon reaching the destination, he exited his vehicle and physically attacked the 16-year-old driver from St. Thomas.
The entire incident was captured by a surveillance camera, which also recorded the man speeding away from the scene and narrowly avoiding hitting two individuals. The identity of the man has not been disclosed by the police. He was taken into custody on Wednesday and is being held for a court appearance scheduled for Thursday morning.
