Iran’s IRGC Conducts Missile Strikes on U.S. Bases

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Sunday that they had conducted coordinated missile and drone operations targeting U.S. military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain as a response to recent U.S. strikes against Iran. The IRGC stated that any violation of the ceasefire agreement would lead to the suspension of all diplomatic processes, citing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

The U.S. military reported another strike on Iran following an incident involving a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides have accused each other of breaching the agreement reached to end the ongoing conflict. U.S. Central Command confirmed new strikes in response to an Iranian drone attack on a Panama-flagged tanker, while Iran reported explosions in Sirik without providing detailed information.

President Donald Trump warned of escalating the response if Iran fails to comply with the ceasefire. The U.S. military targeted Iranian military facilities linked to aggression against commercial shipping, including surveillance, communications, air defense, drone storage, and mine-laying facilities.

Iran’s actions in the region have led to increased tensions, with reports of attacks on ships and military targets. The situation remains volatile as both sides navigate the delicate ceasefire agreement and strive to maintain control over critical shipping routes.

The conflict has also spilled over into Lebanon and Israel, with Hezbollah rejecting ceasefire agreements and ongoing hostilities in the region. The U.S. has been accused of supporting proxy forces, exacerbating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s actions have impacted neighboring Gulf states hosting U.S. military bases, resulting in heightened security measures and responses.

As ships navigate the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, efforts to ensure safe passage and adherence to shipping instructions remain crucial. The region’s stability hinges on diplomatic efforts and the enforcement of agreements to prevent further escalations and disruptions to global trade.
