Angeline Maloney-Arsenault, Brooks-Murray’s childhood best friend, expressed feelings of frustration, acknowledging the helplessness experienced when faced with such a situation. Brooks-Murray, criticized for her public silence as online speculations circulated, was described by Cheryl Robinson, a family friend, as inherently quiet and non-confrontational.
The morning Lilly, 6, and Jack, 4, were reported missing on May 2, 2025, a search effort spanning 8.5 square kilometers involving 1,700 crew members yielded little evidence beyond a pink blanket and a child-size boot print.
