Taylor Swift to Write Original Song for “Toy Story 5”

Taylor Swift has announced her collaboration with the upcoming fifth installment of the beloved “Toy Story” franchise. She will be contributing an original song titled “I Knew It, I Knew You” to the movie’s soundtrack, set to be released on June 5.

The news was shared by Swift herself on Instagram, where she expressed her excitement about the opportunity to write for the iconic characters from her childhood. The singer’s involvement was teased through a countdown on her website, featuring imagery of Jessie, the cowgirl from “Toy Story,” and billboards with Swift’s initials in the film’s font.

Fans on social media began speculating about Swift’s participation after Pixar posted a video on Instagram showing a TS billboard and Jessie dancing on top of it, referencing Swift’s hit song “Shake it Off.” The excitement grew as similar billboards appeared in various cities, including Toronto, with eagle-eyed fans noting the significance of the number 13, known to be Swift’s favorite, hidden in the imagery.

Further Easter eggs were discovered as fans connected Swift’s recent music releases, like the updated cover of her album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” featuring clouds, to the “Toy Story” theme. Swift’s history with animation was also highlighted, citing her previous voice acting roles in films such as “The Lorax” and appearances in animated series like “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb.”

“Toy Story 5” is scheduled to premiere on June 19, reuniting fan-favorite characters like Woody and Buzz, who will face a new challenge involving technology in this installment.
