The Canadian Screen Awards week has started with the announcement of the Children’s Television Awards winners in Toronto. The event marked the first of six ceremonies, revealing 16 deserving winners.
Josette Jorge took home the award for Best supporting performer in children’s or youth category for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.” The award was presented to her by the Canadian Screen Awards, and she was captured smiling with her award in a photograph.
The award for Best writing in the pre-school category went to “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures – Giggling Flufferoos.” “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” won for Best original music in animation. Will Arnett was recognized for his exceptional voice performance in “Super Team Canada.”
“Old Enough! – Where’s The Ginger, Please?” was honored with the Best picture editing award in the children’s or youth category, while Macy Murdoch won the Best direction award for “Tick, Tick, Gone.”
“The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia – What is Happening to Me?!” secured the Best writing award in the children’s or youth category. “Unicorn Academy – Winter Solstice” claimed the Best sound award in animation, and “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum – I am Jackie Robinson” won for both Best writing and Best direction in animation.
The Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award went to “Mittens & Pants.” “Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood” was recognized as the Best pre-school program or series. “Odd Squad” and “Super Team Canada” were also winners in various categories.
The CSA Children’s Television Awards celebrated the outstanding achievements in children’s programming, with notable winners across different genres and age groups.
