“Carolina Hurricanes’ Seth Jarvis to Replace Brayden Point on Canada’s Olympic Hockey Team”

Carolina Hurricanes player Seth Jarvis will step in for Brayden Point from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Canada’s men’s ice hockey team at the upcoming Milan Cortina Olympics. The Canadian Olympic Committee revealed the change, citing Point’s absence due to injury.

Point, a 29-year-old center from Calgary, sustained a knee injury during Tampa Bay’s recent game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Jarvis, 24, has had a successful season with the Hurricanes, boasting 25 goals and 18 assists in 48 games. He was also a member of the Canadian squad that secured gold at the 4 Nations Face-Off last year.

With 121 goals and 256 points in 352 NHL regular-season games, Jarvis brings experience to the team. His addition follows the substitution of Sam Bennett from the Florida Panthers for injured Lightning center Anthony Cirelli on the roster.

Canada is set to kick off the tournament against Czechia on February 12.
