The Northern Super League has unveiled the schedule for its upcoming second season, following a successful debut year. The season will kick off with a highly anticipated rematch between AFC Toronto and Vancouver Rise FC, the reigning NSL champions, at Swanguard Stadium in Vancouver on April 24. Following the opening match, each NSL market will host home games in the initial two weeks of the season:
– Halifax Tides will face Ottawa Rapid FC at Wanderers Grounds on Saturday, April 25.
– Calgary Wild FC will take on Montréal Roses at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, April 25.
– Ottawa Rapid FC will host Calgary Wild FC at TD Place on Saturday, May 2.
– Montréal Roses will play against Vancouver Rise FC at Stade Boréale on Saturday, May 2.
– AFC Toronto will compete with Halifax Tides at BMO Field on Sunday, May 3.
The 2026 season, running from April to November, will culminate in the NSL Final on Saturday, November 14. League President Christina Litz expressed confidence in the growing interest in women’s professional soccer in Canada, citing strong attendance and competitive matches in the inaugural season. The league aims to build on this success by delivering top-quality soccer, showcasing talent, and creating engaging experiences for fans.
Details regarding the location of the championship match will be announced later. The 2026 season will run continuously except for international women’s competitions breaks. Broadcasting and streaming information, including live coverage in English and French on TSN, CBC, Radio-Canada, and YouTube, will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
