They, along with a team of fellow “Dance Moms” enthusiasts, are developing the musical.
The project gained momentum after their original song, “My Little Kendall,” went viral on TikTok in 2023, garnering over five million views and drawing support from former cast members. L.A.-based producer Logan Clark, who had previous experience with “Dance Moms,” joined as a creative producer, along with Tye Blue, the director of the successful parody musical “TitanÃque.”
The enduring popularity of “Dance Moms” is evident through its viral presence on platforms like TikTok, where clips and moments from the show continue to engage new audiences. Former cast members like Maddie Ziegler and JoJo Siwa have transitioned into successful careers post-“Dance Moms,” staying in the spotlight through various ventures.
The creators of the parody musical aim to capture the essence of the show while highlighting the relationships and emotions behind the scenes.
