Trainor Foundation, established by his parents Christina and Jerry Trainor, alongside his aunt Dawn, is hosting a grand celebration at the Majestic Theatre in St. John’s on January 30. The evening will feature a lineup of performers, including Black Gold, Rachel Cousins, Nick Earle, Karla Pilgrim, Jackie Sullivan, and more.
Proceeds from the event will be directed towards supporting families affected by childhood cancer and assisting hockey families facing financial challenges. Christina Trainor expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the hockey community, friends, and even strangers, emphasizing the importance of giving back in honor of J.D.’s memory.
The Trainor family has endured a difficult year but has found solace in the solidarity displayed through various events. Notably, the Conception Bay Senior Blues auctioned off a special J.D. Trainor jersey featuring the Flash’s iconic lightning bolt, J.D.’s favorite superhero, which fetched $950 from an anonymous donor.
Reflecting on the enduring impact of J.D.’s presence, the Trainors shared their appreciation for the community’s ongoing remembrance of their son. The Town of Paradise further honored J.D.’s memory by dedicating a street in his name, providing a meaningful space for the family to cherish his memory.
