“Dollarama Garlic Powder Recall Linked to Bacteria”

Canadians are advised not to consume garlic powder from Dollarama, as a recall has been initiated for the affected product.

The recall specifically applies to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder in a 70-gram package that was distributed nationwide.

An alert released by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) this week highlighted the recall issued by the dollar store chain.

The CFIA emphasized in the notification that individuals should refrain from using, selling, serving, or distributing the impacted garlic powder.

The reason behind the recall is the presence of Bacillus cereus contamination in the seasoning, a bacteria known to potentially lead to food poisoning. Symptoms of infection from this bacteria may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
