“Public Help Sought in Elnaz Hajtamiri Kidnapping Case”

Provincial authorities are once again seeking public assistance regarding the case of Elnaz Hajtamiri, marking four years since the Ontario resident was kidnapped and subsequently disappeared without a trace.

Hajtamiri, aged 37 at the time, was forcibly taken by three individuals from a residence on Trailwood Place in Wasaga Beach on January 12, 2022. Despite multiple arrests related to the incident and a prior assault on Hajtamiri, her whereabouts remain unknown, and it is presumed she met an unfortunate fate.

Scheduled for later this year, the trial of her former partner for first-degree murder is anticipated. The Ontario Provincial Police have revealed that their continued probe into Hajtamiri’s abduction has uncovered possible connections to Timmins, the Greater Toronto Area, Quebec, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

While specific details are being withheld, authorities are urging individuals with information in these regions to come forward. Furthermore, a $100,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of Hajtamiri is still available.

Detective Inspector Steven Martell of the OPP emphasized the significance of community cooperation, expressing confidence that crucial information exists within the public domain. Martell stressed the enduring impact on Hajtamiri’s loved ones, who have endured years of important occasions without her presence, underscoring the unwavering commitment to provide them with closure.
