“Seattle Torrent Defeats Toronto 6-4, Breaks Losing Streak”

The Seattle Torrent secured a 6-4 victory over the Toronto Sceptres, breaking a three-game losing streak. Lexie Adzija scored the first short-handed goal of the season for Seattle in the third period, propelling them to victory. The Torrent set a franchise record with six goals in a single game, tying the highest scoring game of the Professional Women’s Hockey League season. Notably, Megan Carter, a former Toronto player, scored her first career goal as a defender for Seattle, contributing to the team’s win. The game witnessed a total of 10 goals, marking the highest-scoring match of the PWHL season so far. On the other side, Toronto’s Blayre Turnbull, Jesse Compher, Kali Flanagan, and Natalie Spooner found the back of the net, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Seattle’s offensive prowess. The Sceptres will face the Vancouver Goldeneyes next, while the Torrent will take on the Goldeneyes in Denver as part of the PWHL’s Takeover Tour.
