Ronnie OâSullivan and ex Laila Rouassâ luxury five-bed mansion as it ‘hits market for £2m’
Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan and his former fiancee Laila Rouass have reportedly put their £2million mansion up for sale.
The seven-time world champion, 49, has already moved out, while actress Laila, 53, has been staying in the five-bed property with their dog in recent weeks, with friends helping her look after the house and its garden.
Nestled in the leafy suburb of Chigwell, Essex, the luxury pad is located near Epping Forest. And it has now been listed on the market with the snooker star and actress agreeing to move on, with there being no chance of getting back together.
âTheir friends had been hoping they would get back together as they had split before and reunited,â a source told The Mail. âBut they have decided today to sell their home and that really does signal a definitive end to their relationship.
âThey looked good together wherever they went and had many happy times in that house. But it’s all over now and they both recognise that.â
Their mansion is located in the suburbs of London, having allowed OâSullivan and Rouass to merge city life with the peace and quiet of country living. Pictures of its interior reveal an open-plan kitchen and lounge, a huge garden, spacious bedrooms, and an elegant drawing room.
Their home boasts a monochrome theme with parquet flooring, cream and beige furnishings, and white walls. The kitchen is equipped with a large black island ideal for meal preparation, with white cabinets and various integrated appliances in close proximity.
A long dining table occupies the living room, which also features an L-shaped sofa. Paintings adorn the walls on either side of the flat-screen TV, while O’Sullivan’s beloved portrait of Raquel Welch on a crucifix graces the staircase wall.
The drawing room has black wallpaper and smaller white sofas, with another TV, a fireplace, huge chandelier and smart cream carpeting.
Yet, a notable absence from the home is a snooker table, something O’Sullivan’s friends say he could never convince Laila to install. O’Sullivan, who has been residing in a nearby bachelor pad alone until they sell their house, has at last managed to set up a table there.
Laila and O’Sullivan first crossed paths in 2012 when she viewed his property, with his father showing her around. He later reached out to her via the estate agent to ask her on a date and they got engaged the following year.
Their engagement lasted for a decade but they briefly separated, before rekindling their relationship in 2022. Rouass announced their permanent break up on Instagram late last year.
The Footballers Wives actress wrote in a post: âBreak ups can strip you down to your essence. I got through mine by using pain as fuel to take control because no matter what, we will lose parts of ourselves in relationships.
âIt’s normal, don’t beat yourself up. One thing I’m conscious of not doing is trying to get back to what I was. No, I’m discovering who l’ve become. I’ve gone through various emotions…hurt, pain, anger but what I’ve realised about anger is that it’s bottomless. It can go on and on and once you’re in that black hole…it’s very hard to drag yourself back out.
âAnyone going through a break up…I want to tell you that you will come out the other side. I have and I feel so much better, stronger and sexier. I’m looking back at my last relationship with a smile and wave.â
