Pierce Brosnan’s wife Keely shows off 7st weight loss as couple pose on red carpet
Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith were spotted together at the MobLand premiere in New York City on Monday night, with 61-year-old Keely showing off her weight loss.
The philanthropist looked stunning at the event, as she showed off her figure in a black laced mini dress. The long sleeved dress showed off Keely’s new figure and toned legs as she paired it with black stilettoes to match.
She styled her brunette locks to the side as she smiled and held hands with her husband on the red carpet. Pierce, on the other hand wore a blue suit with a white tie, and looked dapper as he posed for pictures.
Last year, Keely showed off her new figure, and is said to have lost over 100lbs (7st). In 2006, the star told Vogue, “I never shy away from … my curves. I never hide in baggy clothing.” Pierce then added: “I love my wife’s curves.”
The couple tied the knot on August 4, 2001 in Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland and share two sons together, Dylan, 28, and Paris, 24. Pierce is also father to his ex wife Cassandra Harris’ children, Charlotte and Christopher, after their father passed away in 1986. The couple welcomed son Sean in 1983.
Tragically, Pierce’s first wife Cassandra died from ovarian cancer in 1991 at the age of 43. In June 2013, his daughter Charlotte died from ovarian cancer at the age of just 41. Charlotte’s death came strikingly close to the age at which Cassandra had passed.
After her death, it was revealed that Pierce had walked Charlotte down the aisle in a secret wedding just two weeks before she lost her cancer battle. She tied the knot with her partner Alex in a private ceremony, with their daughter Isabella, then 15, acting as a bridesmaid.
In an emotional moment during the 2014 Stand Up To Cancer telethon, the James Bond star opened up about the devastating experience of losing both Charlotte and Cassandra: “To watch someone you love have his or her life eaten away bit by bit by this insidious disease, that kind of sorrow becomes an indelible part of your psyche,” he said.

“I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife Cassie as ovarian cancer took her life much too soon. And just last year, I held the hand of my funny, wonderful daughter Charlotte before she too died from this wretched, inherited disease.”
Opening up on how Keely helped him through his darkest times, Pierce told Mail Online in 2013 that his wife was his “North Star,” always looking out for him. “Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie. […] I’ve always been a positive thinker. I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me,” he revealed.
