An OC Transpo double-decker bus that was not in use caught fire while in tow on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred as the bus was being transported westbound along Highway 417, near the St. Laurent exit. Ottawa Fire Services promptly responded to extinguish the flames, as confirmed by OC Transpo. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and an investigation into the fire’s origin is currently in progress. The fire department specified that it was the bus’s engine compartment that was ablaze. The bus was en route to a garage when the fire broke out, according to OC Transpo.
