“Kingston Police Investigate Fatal Homicide, Suspect in Custody”

A man in his 30s from Kingston, Ontario, met a violent end that authorities are treating as a homicide. The victim, identified as Jayme Shawn Syring, aged 34, succumbed to his injuries at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, as disclosed in a media release by Kingston Police. The incident occurred following an assault at a residence near Princess Street and Gardiners Road.

Law enforcement officials apprehended a 51-year-old male resident of Kingston on Thursday, with the assistance of street crime and drug enforcement units. Additionally, a search warrant was carried out in the 100 block of Sutherland Drive, as detailed in the police statement. While the police did not disclose the suspect’s identity or specify the charges, the individual was slated to appear in bail court on Friday.

Authorities assured the public that there is no discernible threat to public safety as they continue to amass evidence related to the case. They confirmed that no other individuals were harmed during the incident.
