Two days following the apprehension of former reality TV personality Joseph Duggar from “19 Kids and Counting,” an arrest warrant was issued and executed for his spouse, Kendra Duggar.
Tontitown Arkansas Police Department disclosed that Kendra Duggar faced four charges each of endangering the welfare of minors and false imprisonment in the second degree on Friday. These identical charges were also levied against Joseph Duggar, who was initially arrested the previous Wednesday for lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor below 12 years old.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office clarified that the charges were connected to the alleged 2020 molestation incident involving a nine-year-old girl in Panama Beach, Fla. Reportedly, Joseph Duggar confessed to the victim’s father and Tontitown Detectives after a confrontation on March 17th, 2026.
Joseph Duggar, who was taken into custody in Tontitown, opted out of an extradition hearing on Friday, paving the way for his transfer to Florida to face the child molestation accusation. Meanwhile, Kendra Duggar was released after posting a $1,470 US bond, as confirmed by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website. The Duggar family declined to comment when approached by CBC News.
The separate legal charges against both Joseph and Kendra Duggar emerged nearly five years after Joseph’s elder brother, Josh Duggar, was found guilty of downloading images depicting child sexual abuse. Josh Duggar was sentenced to 12½ years in prison in 2022 following testimonies that implicated a computer at a dealership owned by him in downloading such despicable content.
Both Josh and Joseph Duggar were featured in the reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” which showcased the lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, an Independent Baptist couple raising their children, all of whom had names starting with the letter J. The show, which began with the 2004 release “14 Children and Pregnant Again!,” aired from 2008 to 2015 until its cancellation due to allegations of Josh Duggar molesting his sisters and a babysitter.
Following the cancellation of “19 Kids and Counting,” a subsequent series named “Counting On” was also axed after Josh Duggar’s arrest. The courtship and marriage of Joseph and Kendra Duggar were chronicled on the show, although the couple has gradually retreated from the public eye, with their latest Instagram post dating back to 2021, commemorating their third child’s second birthday.
