“Jonathan David Shines in Juventus’ 3-0 Victory”

Jonathan David showcased his talent by scoring a goal and providing an assist to guide Juventus to a 3-0 victory over Sassuolo in Serie A on Tuesday, rewarding coach Luciano Spalletti’s trust in him. The win kept Juventus in fourth place, tied on points with Roma, who secured a 2-0 win against relegation-threatened Lecce. Juventus and Roma are currently three points behind Serie A leaders Inter Milan, with the top three teams having played two fewer matches.

Despite facing criticism for a missed penalty in the previous game against Lecce, Ottawa native David retained his spot in the starting lineup. He played a pivotal role in the second half as Juventus secured the victory, following an own goal from Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic, which was the only goal of the first half. David assisted Fabio Miretti for Juventus’ second goal in the 62nd minute before finding the back of the net himself just a minute later. The entire team, including substitutes and coach Spalletti, celebrated with David after his goal.
