Home Bargains shoppers love ‘quirky’ £5 lights they want ‘all over their garden’

Home Bargains is quickly becoming a go-to spot for anyone looking to update their garden this spring and summer. With warmer weather approaching soon, more are considering how to elevate their outdoor spaces for less.

The discount store offers plenty of quirky items that are sure to add a dash of personality to your garden, patio or whatever outdoor space you have. And, best of all, most items are affordable compared to other retailers meaning you don’t have to settle for something that’s not your style.

Another item that has caught attention is the latest set of solar lights to hit the shelves for just under £5 a set that “screams summer”. Shaped like fresh pieces of fruit, the Strawberry Shaped String Solar Lights come in packs of 10 and cost £4.99.

Unlike other viral finds, Home Bargains shoppers won’t have to trawl through their local garden centre for these. Instead, they can get a set or two delivered to their door. However, once they run out of stock online, the only option will be checking in-store.

Online, the product description reads: “Brighten up your garden with the Firefly 10 Strawberry Shaped String Solar Lights! These delightful lights automatically illuminate at dusk, adding a whimsical glow to your outdoor space—perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere on patios or balconies.”

The Home Bargains website added that the string of 10 strawberry-shaped lights are “easy to install” and comes with a rechargeable battery, so you can enjoy “hassle-free lighting”. A shopper shared a photo of the lights with the Dansway Money Saver Facebook page where they were branded a must have by shoppers.

One said: “Oh my god! They just scream summer to me!” Another added: “How cute do these look! I want them all over the garden now!” A third wrote: “So pretty. Home Bargains [is] smashing it with these garden lights lately!”

The store has already caught attention online, with savvy shoppers falling in love with some of the new additions to its garden range over the last few weeks. Earlier this month, fans searched stores for a range of whimsical lights that had gone viral online.

Shaped like hot air balloons, people were quickly drawn to the fun design that had vibrant rainbow colours but offered a soft flame-like flicker when switched on. Most people also appreciate the easy installation of solar lights that don’t require any hard wiring.

Also, earlier in the year, shoppers were drawn to another item that’s sure to be a talking point in gardens across the UK this summer. The Jardin range included some “adorable” £20 ornaments made from artificial grass—meaning they’d stand up to the unpredictable British summer weather.

People loved the topiary designs shaped like teddy bears and puppies. You can browse everything that Home Bargains has to offer for the garden – including toys, plants, tools, lighting and furtiture – online here.
