Emma Bunton steals spotlight at Sabrina Carpenter concert alongside rarely-seen son Beau
Emma Bunton has shared a rare photo of her eldest son Beau and her fans couldn’t be any more delighted about it.
The Spice Girls icon, 49, was living her best life over the weekend as she attended Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour with her 17-year-old son, Beau. The proud mum shared a fun video montage of the night, capturing the electric atmosphere – plus an unforgettable moment when Sabrina herself singled Emma out in the crowd.
Looking effortlessly youthful in a pink t-shirt and sparkling high-waisted jeans, Emma was watching from the VIP section when the camera turned to her. In a signature tour moment – previously shared with stars like Millie Bobby Brown -Sabrina “arrested” her for being “too hot,” playfully handing over a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs.
The clip also offered a quick glimpse of Beau arriving at the concert and later posing for a photo with a friend. Decked out in Short n’ Sweet tour merch, the teens looked completely absorbed in the show. Sharing her excitement, Emma wrote: “Please, please, please arrest me for being a fan!!! @sabrinacarpenter, you were amazing!”
Though her youngest son, 13-year-old Tate, wasn’t pictured, it’s likely the concert was a family affair – one of many music-filled outings for the Bunton-Jones crew. Emma shares both her children with husband Jade Jones, whom she first fell for in 1998. The longtime couple got engaged in 2011 and finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony during the pandemic in 2021.
It comes after Emma honoured her Spice Girl roots with a girl power infused meme on International Women’s Day which read: “Empowered women empower others. Every woman’s success can inspire others – we’re strongest when we lift each other up.” Emma’s exciting weekend full of girly fun comes amid rumours that the Spice Girls are set to discuss an upcoming reunion.
Melanie C confirmed that as the 30th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe rapidly approaches, the music icons are joining forces to discuss how to celebrate. And it appears that even Victoria Beckham, who in 2018 confirmed she wouldn’t be joining the band on stage for their 2019 stadium tour is also open to discussions.
Next year, the group will celebrate three decades since they burst onto the music scene and changed history by becoming one of the biggest selling girl-groups of all time. Since their decision to disband in 2000, they have reunited on several occasions – including in 2007, 2012 for the London Olympic Games and in 2018 to tour across the UK.
Melanie recently said they will definitely be discussing ways to celebrate their achievements. In a new interview, Melanie, from Whiston, Merseyside, mega-star revealed “it’s time” for the group to return to the music scene. She said: “There has to be something befitting of 30 years since Wannabe. Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl.”
Speaking to Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1, she went on to add: “We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we’re going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right. We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed. I think me and Mel B are probably going to be going in there all guns blazing. Come on! It’s time.”
