“Canada’s Men’s Soccer Team Gears Up for International Matches”

Canada’s national men’s soccer team is set to host Iceland and Tunisia during the March international window, with both matches taking place at Toronto’s BMO Field. The Canadian team, ranked 29th globally, will play against Iceland on March 28 and Tunisia on March 31. Additionally, both visiting teams will play against Haiti in Toronto during this window.

Looking ahead, Canada is scheduled to face Uzbekistan, ranked 52nd in the world, on June 1 in Edmonton. The team, led by Jesse Marsch, has one more opponent yet to be announced. A final World Cup warm-up match is planned against a European team in Montreal on June 5 or 6.

The World Cup journey for Canada will kick off on June 12 against a European qualifier in Toronto. Subsequently, the team will head to Vancouver to face Qatar, ranked 56th, on June 18, followed by a match against Switzerland, ranked 18th, on June 24.

Tunisia, ranked 47th globally, secured their World Cup qualification impressively by remaining unbeaten in their African qualifying group with a remarkable record of 9 wins and 1 draw. On the other hand, Iceland, placed 74th in the world rankings, narrowly missed out on qualification after finishing third in their European qualifying group with a record of 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss.

Haiti, currently ranked 83rd globally, has also secured their spot in the upcoming World Cup tournament.
