“Arson Incidents in Brampton and Mississauga Under Investigation”

Peel Regional Police are currently looking into two separate incidents of arson that occurred overnight on Sunday in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario. One of the incidents involved a fire at a residence near Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue W around 12:30 a.m., with no reported injuries. The Mississauga Fire department received a call from a vigilant neighbor who spotted flames outside a house. Firefighters promptly extinguished the blaze and safely evacuated the occupants.

In a distinct occurrence, Peel police responded to a vehicle fire near Queen Street East and Rutherford Road around 1:30 a.m. Fortunately, the vehicle was unoccupied, and there were no reported injuries in this incident. While both cases are being treated as arson, authorities have stated that there is currently no evidence linking the two events.
