Air fryer owners are just realising there’s a ‘secret’ feature that makes cooking easier
People are only now spotting a “secret” feature on their air fryers. Each model boasts its own unique functionalities, with many allowing users to dehydrate, grill or bake an array of eats.
Posting to TikTok, user @bowesy5 shared her discovering of a subtle compartment in her Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer that hides away a digital cooking probe.
In her video, she asked: “Ninja air fryer secret meat probe! Did you know?!” She wasn’t the only one to have accidentally skipped over the probe, with many others expressing their surprise at the feature in the comments section, reports the Express.
One wrote: “WHAT?!!!! No I didn’t know!! Off to check mine now!!” while another exclaimed: “omg what no way.”
Another comment read: “Omg I finally found it! I just thought mine was missing, I RAN to the air fryer.” Even Ninja themselves added: “You lot really don’t read our manuals do you.”
Meanwhile, someone else said: “How is it a secret? You pay extra for this.”
This savvy digital cooking probe is there to guarantee your meats and seafood get cooked just right, taking the guesswork out of the equation. Let’s say you’re eyeing a juicy steak—just pop in the probe, select how you want it done, from rare to well-done, and leave the tech to precisely track your dinner’s temperature, alerting you when it’s finished perfectly.
You can choose a cooking function and food type from pre-set options, and your air fryer will notify you when your meal is ready to be taken out.
After use, wrap your temperature probe neatly and store it in the dedicated slot on the side of the appliance.
