Quebec provincial police are intensifying efforts to gather information one year after Liam Toman disappeared at Mont Tremblant. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) will establish a command post at the ski resort this weekend, positioned near the hotel where the 22-year-old from Ontario was last spotted in the early hours of Feb. 2, 2025. Investigators aim to prompt memories with the timing of this operation.
SQ Sgt. Marc Tessier mentioned that the objective is to engage with tourists and regular visitors who frequent the resort annually. The presence during the same weekend Toman was there is deemed crucial. The mystery surrounding Toman’s vanishing act persists.
Despite being seen on video surveillance multiple times on the night he disappeared, Toman subsequently vanished. Although his wallet was later recovered, there has been no digital trace or financial activity in his accounts since that evening.
Toman’s mother, Kathleen, is expected at the resort this weekend, stationed at an information booth adjacent to the police command center. Kathleen Toman expressed hope that returning visitors might recall details that could assist in advancing the case.
A $50,000 reward is up for grabs for any information leading to Toman’s whereabouts. Authorities encourage individuals with relevant details to visit the command post this Saturday or reach out to the Sûreté du Québec.
