“Trampoline Park Zipline Accident Sparks Safety Concerns”

Two parents expressed concerns about the safety of a new trampoline park in the Greater Toronto Area after their 11-year-old son had an accident on a zipline. The incident occurred at Aerosports Trampoline Park in Scarborough when Ramin Azizi fell approximately six meters to the ground due to a harness failure while attempting the zipline on an obstacle course.

Ramin, who was left lying on the ground awaiting medical assistance, shared his fear of the situation, thinking he might lose his life during the ordeal. His father, Sadir Azizi, highlighted that it was Ramin’s first visit to the trampoline park and compared it to others that usually have additional safety features like nets or ground padding, which were lacking in this case.

Following the incident, Ramin underwent medical tests and was eventually discharged with minor bruises but no broken bones. The parents, Sadir and Mona Azizi, have spoken out about the incident to prevent similar accidents from happening to other children.

In response, Aerosports Trampoline Park stated that the incident is under review by their legal team and insurers and declined further comments due to the involvement of a minor. The Toronto police confirmed the incident involving Ramin was not criminal, and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) declared that the zipline was unauthorized and has since been closed for investigation. The TSSA mentioned the possibility of legal action against the park for failing to notify them of the zipline installation.
