“Last Chance to Snag Tickets for 2026 Montana’s Brier in St. John’s!”

With just under six weeks remaining, preparations are in full swing for the upcoming 2026 Montana’s Brier in St. John’s. A final batch of tickets will be released on Tuesday at 12 p.m. NT, ranging from 350 to 450 tickets per draw, according to Eugene Trickett, the vice-chair of the tournament committee. Anticipating swift sales due to high demand, Trickett highlighted the excitement surrounding local hero Brad Gushue’s final appearance before retirement, making this Brier a unique event.

Fans showed immense support for Gushue during the 2017 national tournament in St. John’s, where he clinched his first Brier victory in front of a hometown crowd. Trickett foresees a lively atmosphere this year, escalating as Gushue progresses through the competition. Tickets are available for purchase on the Curling Canada website, with some potentially becoming available closer to the event as unused tickets are released.

Despite ticket scarcity, individuals can still engage by volunteering, particularly for late shifts. The tournament committee has recruited 98% of the required 400 volunteers, with the remaining positions focused on the Patch—an entertainment hub located at the St. John’s Convention Centre, featuring bars, food vendors, and performances by artists like the Irish Descendants and Billy and the Bruisers. Trickett expects the Patch to be bustling, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, describing it as the heart and soul of the Brier.

Interested individuals can register to volunteer on the Curling Canada website to be part of this exciting event.
