“Canadian Skier Miha Fontaine Wins Bronze at World Cup”

Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine secured the bronze medal in the men’s event at a World Cup aerials competition held on Monday. Hailing from Magog, Quebec, Fontaine achieved a score of 107.73, marking his inaugural World Cup medal in his career. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, the 22-year-old narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in the competition.

The gold and silver medals in the men’s competition were claimed by Chinese skiers, with Li Xinpeng leading with an impressive score of 137.19, surpassing Wang Xindi by 25.19 points. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, secured fifth place with a score of 104.49.

In the women’s category, Kalia Kuhn from the United States clinched the gold with a score of 105.6, followed closely by China’s Xu Mengtao with 105.17 and Australia’s Danielle Scott with 85.65. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport stood out as the highest-ranking Canadian athlete, finishing in seventh place.
