In 2025, Theodore has once again secured the top position as the most favored baby name on Prince Edward Island. According to P.E.I.’s Vital Statistics, 12 babies were named Theodore this year on the Island. Theodore also held the leading spot in 2024, sharing it with Charlotte at that time. However, Charlotte has now slipped to seventh place.
Tying for second place with nine occurrences each are Violet and John, names that did not appear on last year’s roster. Noteworthy names from the previous year, such as Evelyn, Nolan, Luke, Liam, Thomas, Ava, Claire, Leo, and Wyatt, did not make it onto this year’s list.
The current list of the top 10 names for boys and girls has been updated until December 11. CBC has consolidated all the names into a single list for easy reference.
