“Canadian Skiers Shine at Aspen World Cup”

A duo of Canadian athletes stood on the podium at the women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle World Cup competition in Aspen, Colorado, on Friday. Megan Oldham from Parry Sound, Ontario, and Elena Gaskell from Vernon, British Columbia, clinched the silver and bronze medals, respectively, while Kirsty Muir of Great Britain secured the gold.

Oldham claimed the silver medal with a score of 73.02 in her second run, while Gaskell’s final run earned her a third-place finish with a score of 72.90.

In the men’s event, American skier Mac Forehand took the gold with a score of 77.38, followed by Estonia’s Henry Sildaru with silver (75.90) and Norway’s Ulrik Samnoey with bronze (74.64). The top Canadian male competitor, Max Moffatt, finished in sixth place with a score of 72.71 in his second run.
