Zayne Parekh surpassed the previous record for the most points by a Canadian defenseman at a world junior hockey championship but remained unsatisfied with his performance. Despite setting a new milestone with 13 points, Parekh expressed disappointment in not achieving the ultimate goal of winning gold. He acknowledged the significance of his achievement, surpassing the previous mark held by Bryan McCabe and Alex Pietrangelo, but emphasized the team’s overall objective.

Following his standout performance, Parekh made amends for his earlier comments about media interactions and clarified his intentions.
