Peel Regional Police have announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in a Brampton mall parking lot earlier this month. The suspects, two 20-year-olds from Brampton and a 25-year-old from Toronto, are now facing charges of first-degree murder, as confirmed in a press release issued on Wednesday.
The incident, which resulted in the tragic death of 25-year-old Jaskarn Dhaliwal of Brampton, took place on December 8 near Shoppers World on Main Street. Following the shooting, where multiple gunshots were fired and the perpetrators fled the scene, the authorities launched an investigation that led to the apprehension of the three accused individuals. Peel Regional Police have assured the public that there are no additional suspects being sought, emphasizing that the incident is considered isolated and does not pose an ongoing threat to public safety.
The accused will be attending bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, as stated by law enforcement officials. Initially hesitant to disclose the victim’s identity, the police eventually identified him as Dhaliwal in response to further inquiries.
