Aldi’s £10 ‘grown-up treat’ is made for chocolate and cocktail lovers
Aldi has released a special Easter treat that’s not for the kids. Deemed the ‘ultimate grown-up treat’, this would be perfect to give to someone partial to chocolate and a cheeky cocktail.
Espresso martini has cemented its place as one of the nation’s most popular cocktails, consistently topping bar menus and social media feeds. So, it’s no surprise that this is what inspired Aldi’s latest adult creation.
On Instagram, a supermarket spokesperson wrote: “Our NEW Egg-Fusion Martini Duo is giving the ultimate grown-up treat. For just £9.99, treat yourself to something a little boozy and massively indulgent.”
The worker held up the box, which showed the decadent Easter egg on the front made with Fairtrade Belgian milk chocolate infused with caramel pieces and ground coffee for an irresistible caffeine kick. And there’s an extra treat waiting inside each egg.
Each box contains its own ready-to-drink cocktail, the Infusionist Espresso Martini Cocktail Can (125ml), making it the ultimate boozy Easter treat for cocktail connoisseurs. Plenty of shoppers flocked to the post after seeing the incredible creation.
One said: “Wow! Running to my nearest Aldi!” Another added: “That’s my Easter egg sorted!” A third asked: “OMG am I dreaming!?” Someone else posted: “I really want this!” And, a fifth commented: “All my favourite things in one box! Chocolate, coffee and cocktails!”
Aldi has also launched its most luxurious Easter Egg range to date, including new Specially Selected Double Indulgence Eggs (£11.99, 300g). These Eggs (which have been on sale since March 23) are available in salted blonde and milk chocolate, and milk and hazelnut chocolate crème.
Shoppers can also find the hand-decorated Specially Selected Ripple Eggs (£4.99, 170g) back on shelves once again. Available in stores now, there are three flavours to choose from: Belgian dark chocolate and rich coffee and cocoa nibs, Belgian white chocolate with mango and passionfruit, and Belgian milk chocolate with honeycomb and pretzel.
Finally, Aldi’s new Specially Selected Dessert Eggs (£2.49, 150g) are available in two flavours. Shoppers can choose from marbled dark and white chocolate eggs with a smooth chocolate flavour ganache filling or the marbled dark and white chocolate eggs with a creamy vanilla panna cotta filling.
Aldi’s full Easter range is available to pick up in stores from now until Easter (April 20). Shoppers will need to act quickly if they want specific items as, with all Aldi products, stock is limited.
