Kerry Katona ignores latest Atomic Kitten ‘feud’ after Liz McClarnon swipe leaves band ‘frustrated’
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona has shown off her bronzed complexion as she was snapped behind the wheel of her lavish car.
The singer, 44, was seen getting behind the wheel of her £250,000 green Lamborghini. She wore her hair scrunched up in a top bun while wearing a grey Dior outfit as she filled up at a petrol station in Cheshire. She seemed to be in an upbeat mood as she went about her day to day life.
Kerry’s outing came hours before it emerged her former bandmate, Liz McClarnon has refused to take part in a documentary. The pop trio were set to appear in Girlbands Forever, produced by Louis Theroux, alongside Jenny Frost, who joined after Katona’s departure.
But Liz has left her bandmates “frustrated” after ruling out taking part. Sources claim she doesn’t want to be involved “at all”. Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “While she’s grateful for her time in the band, she has moved on from that stage of her life and has no interest in revisiting it, rehashing it or looking back.
“The other girls are really surprised by Liz’s decision though, as they are all keen to appear, it’s being done with a top production company and will be really well made, they don’t understand why Liz would pass up the chance to do it…” They added that it won’t be the same without Liz. The source added: “The other girls think it’s a bit of a slap in the face, considering how much their pop days gave them the lifestyles they all have now.”
Kerry’s outing in her green super car comes after the horror incident which had her screaming in December. She was driving to rehearsals for the pantomime Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court, where she starred alongside Katie Price for the annual pantomime, when the accident happened.
Fortunately, the TV personality escaped uninjured in the crash. However, she revealed she was left shaken and driven home by police after the incident.
Kerry opened up in her weekly column for OK! about how the crash happened shortly after the incident. She said: “I’ve had a bit of a nightmare this week, after I crashed my car on an icy country road.
“I was on my way into work and I was talking to Molly on my hands-free in the car when my car went over some black ice, it span and went into a tree and back into a fence – I literally thought I was going to die. I wasn’t bothered about my car but I was just in complete shock and lost complete control of the car. My phone recognised that I had been in a crash so started an alert, and Molly was still on the line so heard me screaming, it was horrible.”
She added: “Four other cars did the exact same thing later that day because it was a country road that hadn’t had any salt put on it, so thankfully the police said it was the condition of the road and not my fault. They drove me home and I was really shook up when I got there – I was in shock and had whiplash.”
It wasn’t the first crash Kerry and her family are said to have been involved in over the years. In 2015, her daughters Molly, Lilly-Sue, and Heidi, as well as her son Max, escaped uninjured after their car was hit by another vehicle.
They were reportedly taking Heidi for an unrelated emergency appointment after she was referred by her GP, when the accident happened.
